Student Support Lead – Jr./Sr. High Academy
CREO (7th-12th Grade)
Jr./Sr. High Academy – Hand in Hand Christian Montessori – Roseville Campus, has a full time (32 or 40 hours/week) opening supporting junior and senior high students in our CREO Academy for the 26-27 school year.
This person will creatively and collaboratively partner with students, teachers, and parents/guardians to implement individualized strategies for spiritual, academic, social, and emotional success.
Main Responsibilities:
- Write and facilitate student support plans for students with diagnosed needs
- Communicate with parents, school districts, teachers, and students
- Provide one-on-one and small group support and lessons
- Observe students
- Collaborate with Creo faculty to identify accommodations and modifications for students
Qualifications:
- A heart for discipleship of adolescents
- Understanding of the needs of junior and senior high students with regards to behavioral adaptations, sensory breaks, homework or classroom modifications
- Written and oral communication skills (to write 504 plans and collaborate with parents, school districts and faculty)
- At least one year of experience working with upper elementary or junior/senior high in a classroom setting
- College degree required, Special Education or teaching degree preferred
- Self-motivated, responsible, and reliable
- Interested in learning and supporting Montessori philosophy
Hours expected to be on campus are 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Thursday (option to add Fridays), with weekly after school staff meetings on Wednesdays until 5:00pm. Ideal start date of August 15, 2026.
Compensation commensurate with experience and education. Salary is based upon $20-$28/hour. HIHCM offers generous tuition discounts for employees who have children enrolled at HIHCM.
